Andrew Broch qualified in acupuncture and acupressure in 1999. During his first year in practice Andrew, who suffers from hayfever, found that acupuncture was extremely effective for the relief of his symptoms. He trained initially at the Northern college of Acupuncture and then under George Broch, who is a lecturer & examiner in acupuncture as well as running the ‘Leeds Acupuncture Clinic’ in north Leeds for over 25 years.
Using this knowledge he set about inventing the ‘QU-CHI band’ to isolate a specific acupuncture point that he found in practice helped relieve his symptoms of hayfever. Andrew decided to do a mini lauch late last year just to test the market, and see if people would be interested in his invention. To his amazement he sold over 5000 bands just online in just a few months late into the hayfever season. It was also written about by Daily Telegraph (Dr Lefanu section), The Irish Times, Daily Express and local papers such as Yorkshire Evening Post. There were independant reviews written by the likes of whatreallyworks.co.uk and a journalist from Natural Health Magazine, all the publicity was extremely positive. He and his very proud father George were also asked to talk on BBC Radio’s Steve Baily drive time show!
This year has already been extremely busy, the Qu-Chi Band has already been featured in magazines such as ‘Woman’s Own’ and ‘Natural Health Magazine’, mentioned in the Daily Mail, endorsed by Dr. Rosemary Leonard in the Daily Express and been talked about on the ‘BBC Breakfast Tv Show’.
The ‘Qu-Chi’ acupressure band is available to buy from worldwide wholesalers, UK stores, high street pharmacies, health clubs, by mail order, Amazon (currently the top selling hayfever relief product on Amazon!) and many independent website shops, and of course at the LEEDS ACUPUNCTURE CLINIC!
